This session will identify retention issues which occur in the Sophomore Year at many of our schools. It will present the Sophomore Community Builders Program I and another educators at Jesuit High Portland have created, piloted, modified, and put into place over the last 5 years to address difficulties Sophomores face which often lead to them choosing to leave our school. The challenges we faced and overcame in putting this program in place will be addressed as well. Finally, the leadership benefits this program has reaped over the past 5 years will be presented.
